Quotas and limits
This article provides an overview of quotas and limits on the aedifion.io platform by license.
Quotas may change
This article reports the current quotas. While we work hard to deliver these quotas, we may need to adjust quotas at times. However, we guaranee that quotas for existing contracts only change for the better.
Upgrade your quota
If you run out of your quotas, you may request a quota upgrade anytime. Or, consider purchasing a dedicated aedifion.io license which is free of quotas. In both cases, please contact sales
Quota enforcement¶
Quotas are enforced in a soft or hard manner.
- soft: Requests that exceed the quota limits will not be blocked and the platform will work as normal However, quotas are monitored and when quotas are persistently overcharged, you will be contacted about upgrading your license to a more suitable plan. This applies to
- Users
- Logged datapoints
- Writable datapoints
- hard: Requests that exceed the quota limits will be blocked and a corresponding error is returned. This applies to
- Document database
Company-level quotas and limits¶
The following quotas apply to company-level functionality. These quotas are granted independent of any project licenses you hold.

Project-level quotas and limits¶
The following quotas apply to project-level functionality. These quotas are granted based on the project licencse you hold, i.e., regular, medium, or premium.
